HISTORY
...before the bite
Calliope Isidoros was born on April 11, 1994 in Pygros, Greece. She was the second child to loving parents and her older brother, Jair, was fiercely protective.
When she was four years old, their father took the family to Montreal, Canada, on a business trip that would change all of their lives forever. While touring the city, Calliope was snatched out of Jair's hands. There was a country-wide campaign to find her but despite the help of the RCMP and local organizations, Calliope wouldn't be seen by her parents again.
The girl was whisked away to a nearby city, Laval, where she was surrendered to social services once the perpetrators realized there wouldn't be enough of a ransom for her. At four, she couldn't pronounce her name and so all she could give them was 'Caillie'. Her kidnappers had cut her hair, changed her clothing and the officials in Laval never bothered to cross-reference.
Her young life was spent in foster home after foster home - shifted around during cases of abuse, runaways on her part or an inability on the part of the foster parents to put up with her mischievous, rebellious nature.
The girl was led to believe her parents had abandoned her on purpose, and so she grew up resenting them and dealing with a host of abandonment issues. When she was 13, she ran away from her last foster home and hitched a ride to Montreal with a car full of strangers.
Within a few nights, the girl - alone and without money - was exploited into the sex industry and began to work the streets of the city. It was there that she began drinking and using cocaine - often times trading sex for the narcotics.
One of those nights would lead to her demise when her final client - a vampire - held her captive, tortured her over a series of three nights, and eventually turned her.

In 2007, Caillie heard whispers about a city dominated by vampires and made her way to RavenBlack.
Her early years were spent making mistakes, getting used to her new abilities and trying to reign them in, and getting to know a mix of people - some of whom remain in her life.
The middle years were filled with shadows, pain of her past and pain felt in the city driving her to sleep. The loss of her husband, loss of her sire, loss of so many friends would drive her under until enough returned to draw her back.
Caillie is now a proud member of the de Draak lineage, and has found lasting family, after having searched for so long.
